Unit 3 – Project refinement

This week I revisited my PetPass project from last semester and realised that my original framing was too focused on the pet owner as the only user. After mapping the stakeholders, I can see that international pet travel is actually a networked system involving pet owners, vets, airlines, government bodies and relocation companies.

The key issue seems to be fragmentation. The information exists, but it sits in different places and is interpreted by different people. This has made me rethink PetPass as less of a simple app and more of a coordination layer.

My revised “How can” question is: How can a digital coordination tool help pet owners better understand and prepare for international pet air travel, while reducing document-related confusion for vets, airlines and relocation specialists?
